Technology is seen almost everywhere and in everything we use. It has changed how we live our lives and interact with our environment and workspaces. Life has been made easy by different gadgets and equipment (think of Health, Automobiles, etc.) that technology has brought our way. It has not only improved the efficiency of people’s work but has also helped people live their lives more conveniently.

Fortunately, countless advancements have arisen that it is difficult to show them all in this article. In any case, this article lists a couple of innovations that have changed the way we live. Not to neglect, the intrusion of technology in our community and the world has made it almost impossible to avoid technology; regardless of where you go, you will, in the end, see how technology has grown and its effort in bringing us together for good. Read on to know more.

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is presumably the most significant and earth-shattering pattern in technology today. The way that we have made machines and frameworks that can think and make decisions is astounding, and scientists have pointed out that we are at the very beginning of what AI can achieve.

Arguably, you are already interacting with various forms of AI, with Apple’s Siri, Windows’ Cortana, Amazon’s Alexa, etc., being an example; spam detection in mails is also an example of a machine making an informed decision. The appearance of keen homes, savvy urban areas, and the Internet Of Things implies that AI will be increasingly integrated into our regular daily existences. It’s the sci-fi stuff being accomplished, and it’s occurring just right in front of us.

Internet Of Things (IoT)

In the simplest term, it is the aggregate collection of data from network-enabled gadgets. These gadgets consist of sensors that collect data and share the data via the cloud. These networks can be Bluetooth connections, Wifi connections and Near-field communication (NFC).

IoT in action is seen in Connected smart homes. Internet-enabled security alarms, doorbells, thermostats, refrigerators, smoke detectors all create a connected network where data is shared between physical devices, and users can remotely control the devices using a website or a mobile app.

IoT is employed in Medicine; The patient’s condition is monitored virtually from outside/within the clinical environment. It is also used in other Industries for other purposes.

Blockchain

Blockchain refers to a data structure that stores transaction records, ensuring the security, transparency and decentralization of these data. It’s simply a chain of blocks that holds data or information.

There is no central authority. It is entirely open to everyone on the network. The information is stored in such a way that it is difficult to alter; that is, the information there is tamper-proof.

This means technology has helped us use blockchains to store confidential information by removing intermediaries and replacing it securely with digitized trust.

One of the applications of blockchain technology is Cryptocurrency. A very modern application is Bitcoin. It can be termed as a digital currency used in replacement of fiat currency for trading.

Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting systems, networks and internet-connected devices from cyberattacks.

These attacks aim at altering, accessing or interrupting normal processes of an organization. Cyberattacks at an individual level can result in situations like identity theft, loss of essential data, extortion attempts, etc.

Technology has created a connected world today, hence the need to secure and protect our data. We are securing critical infrastructures that everyone relies on keeps society functioning.

Augmented Reality And Virtual Reality

Augmented Reality(AR) is an exact blend of the digital world and the physical world to build an artificial environment. Virtual Reality(VR) is a generated simulation that is similar to the real world. It immerses the user fully into the action.

AR and VR devices are tools of technology being used to simulate a visual appearance in 3D. They are used in learning institutes to create more exciting and engaging classroom experiences for students, used in tourism and travelling, health care, games, leisure, and entertainment such as 3D cinemas.

It is also employed in advertising and marketing to increase the propensity of customers to purchase. The number of sales of AR/VR equipment in 2020 was massive; this is a pointer to the growth of this technology.

It’s no gainsaying that technology has not only improved individual lives but has also benefited every sector you can think of.
